Colour is such an inspiration. My starting point for this section of collage began with creating abstract sheets of watercolour. Using traditional patch working techniques I collage areas of these gorgeous colours into separate pieces. Once laid out the pieces are embroidered together sewn onto a backing sheet and finally framed.
